On July 17, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the inauguration of the Thai Public Broadcasting Service Headquarters and visited the exhibition of Thai PBS’s four-year achievements and its broadcasting facilities.

Managing Director, Thepchai Yong, stated that Thai PBS is the first public broadcaster in Thailand and in the South-East Asia. It was first broadcasted on January 15, 2008, and now expands its service into radio, online and new media. For its operation to be most efficient and productive, the executive boards of Thai PBS made the decision to construct its own head office, paving way for the public media’s stable and sustainable future.

“It was a great honor for all Thai PBS staff that H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over our headquarters inauguration. Our new home is fully equipped with highly effective broadcasting technology such as complete High-Definition production and broadcasting systems. The Learning Center including museum, exhibition halls, and library will be soon open for the public.”

Thai PBS Managing Director added that on this July 20-22, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thai PBS will open the doors for audiences to visit our headquarters, witnessing news and program production in front and behind the scenes. There are also a dozen of activities for them to take part and enjoy themselves, for example:
