26.11.2012   JOIN US IN THE FIRST PUBLIC MEDIA FESTIVAL ON NOV 29 - DEC 1, 2012

Thai PBS is opening house to the public in Thailand’s first Public Media Festival on November 29 – December 1, 2012 at Thai PBS Headquarters on Viphavadi Rangsit Road.

Under the concept of “Edutainment,” the festival offers Thai PBS fans of all ages plenty of activities that will let you know more about the public media. Meet our news anchors and presenters from various programs, join workshops and fairs from our partner organizations, enjoy beautiful cultural art and music shows, and exchange your ideas in open forums and seminars.

The festival is divided into three zones:
Zone 1 The Educational Zone

  • The Public Media exhibition and museum
  • Educational booths from organizations working on sciences, education, environment, media for children, volunteering and anti-corruption
  • Open forum by the Audience Council and booths of citizen journalists, Friends of Thai PBS Center and Inside Thai PBS
  • News reading and radio deejaying for kids, and visit to a news studio.
  • Digital media and social media corner, plus broadcasting technology exhibition
  • Program proposal session for independent producers
  • Talks and seminars on the topics of the public media in the digital age, media space, citizen journalism and food security.


    • Zone 2  Public Station Zone

  • Blue Flag and OTOP Fairs
  • People Station booths offering free legal consultation, professional trainings and workshops, disaster preparedness advice, Thai message, electronic device repair service, etc.

    • Zone 3 Entertainment Zone
  • “Watch TV with Your Kids” showcasing ten children programs including Think Sci, How Well Do You Know Thai Desserts and Dare You Read?
  • Health workshops and green products kiosk
  • Art activities and workshops
  • Taking photos with actors from Thai PBS series
  • Talks by Life Explorer narrators and hosts of Big Family program
  • Concert from Music, Art, Poetry, local dance, minority musical show, film screening and theater play by young people

    9.00 – 19.00 hr       Public Forum on “Fighting Food Crisis – Feeding the World” plus an auction of fresh produce from quality suppliers.
    9.00 – 19.00 hr       Origami bird folding activity on an anti-corruption campaign
    14.00 – 16.00 hr     Program proposal session for independent producers at Seminar Room 3

    9.00 – 19.00 hr       “Watch TV with Your Kids” activities from more than twenty of Thai PBS children programs
